Feline coronavirus is common and often causes mild or no enteric signs. Fecal antigen shows shedding. It does not, by itself, diagnose FIP.

When to test
Use it to look for shedding in a diarrhea case or in a multi-cat group. Do not tell an owner that a fecal antigen result means the cat has FIP.
